Wondering if the slighty higher rewards rate VS the Travel Rewards card justifies the $99 AF. What do you guys think?

I think it does if you find the $100 annual airline incidental credits worthwihile and easy to redeem.

+1, or if you spend more than $19,800 per year on travel and restaurants, in which case you'd likely be finding use for that $100 credit somewhere anyway.
If you're spending that much on one card, though, there are so many other cards that offer better rewards value.
Unless you have a whole bunch of money parked in BoA/ML of course.

Absolutely if you use the $100 travel credit. Plus it's even more worthy if your banking is primarily done at BoFA.

I'm keeping my BOA Travel Rewards for now. I'm not big on the new premium rewards.

Yeah that determines whether this is a decent card or something to get after you have gotten every other card with a sign up bonus.
Thanks for all the replies guys. I suppose the $100 airline incidental fee alone justifies the AF, will probably end up going with the PR card.

Tried pulling the trigger on this last night and it went into pending review.
Have 3 cards with them (cash rewards, travel rewards and bbr) and I’m platinum honors preferred rewards. No inquiries in the past year, 1 in the past 2 years (CSR). Near 850 across the board. They must be picky for this one. The 3 cards I have with them have a total combined limit of $18k. CSR last year approved 35k no delays, and that was with a freedom (16.5k) and ritz (35k) already on chase.
I haven’t checked on reddit but sounds like others are going into pending too... just checked when writing this and see a lot of denials.
Also just checked and it looks like experian was pulled and my fico score 8 with them is 850. Fico from BOA (TU) is 836 (august). TU from Barclay updated 9/12/2017 is 850 with an 839 prior score (looks like from July).
A little surprised on this one... currently put most of my extra (non-bonus) spend on travel rewards and then cash rewards for gas/groceries for the platinum honors bonus. Probably about 1.5k/month across those cards. Then netflix on my BBR to get that easy money. CSR gets most of my spend because of heavy travel.

This is the perfect card for you; I am utterly shocked you didn't get an instant approval. Obviously answering this is completely optional, but do you have a relatively low reported income with lots of assets or something? I just can't fathom how that wasn't an instant approval with a credit line larger than your other 3 combined. My EX score was only 731 yesterday when they pulled and I don't even qualify for Gold Rewards. If I were in your shoes, I would certainly call and talk to lending.
