BofA decline

I'm in rebuilding process and applied to them knowing I would probably need to get a secured card.  I was hoping for a 99/500 offer but was not offered that online.  I asked the online rep how that worked and said I should be receiving something in the mail.  It's been almost 2 weeks and nothing.  Usually bad news travels pretty fast.  I have an Equifax service and they didn't pull that CR.  Maybe another week?  Did DH's Cap 1 same day and he got his card in about a week.

Re: BofA decline

They have 30 days to send you the letter for your decline and which CRA they based their reasoning on. BoA usually pulls from EX.

They may send an offer for a fully secured card with the AA letter. It does take a bit more time to get the secured cards up and going. It is worth the wait, IMO. Smiley Happy

Re: BofA decline

I don't know how Wells Fargo's secured Visa compares to BofA's card but they offer a secured card that graduates to a real visa after a year.

Unfortunately if you aren't a current customer with them, you can't apply online.
