BofA reporting question

Does the BofA credit card usually report to the CRAs on the date that the statement is cut?

I had this same question when I joined the boards.  The consensus around here seemed to be that yes, BofA reports to the CRAs on the date that the statement is cut.  I called BofA a number of times a few months ago in an attempt to confirm this.  Ultimately I was told that yes, this is their policy.

Hope this helps.

If your question is about utilization ratios and you want to get yours down, make sure to pay down the balance to zero or somewhere in the 5-10% range prior to the date the statement cuts, rather than after the statement cuts but before the due date.

As of 5/23/14, via myFICO EQ 779 | TU 762 | EX 795

As of 5/22/14 Credit Sesame 746 | Credit Karma 754

AmEx EveryDay Preferred $2,000 | Chase Sapphire Preferred $11,000 | Chase Freedom $8,000 | BankAmericard Cash Rewards Platinum Plus $5,200

Thanks. Yeah, I'm trying to play the juggling game between 1-9% right now which is why I was asking about the reporting. I want to keep the balance where it is (1%) until it reports, but I have a road trip coming up and I want to get my cash back rewards for gas and expenses for my trip.

Re: BofA reporting question

For what it's worth, I called Capital One for each card that I have and got the word from the rep on the phone when it reported. I feel that you could do that with BofA as well. Yes they may all be on the statement date but it never hurts to get the word from the horse's mouth, so to speak.
