Bonus MR for activating POT?

Hi all. I just received an email offer for 20,000 MR on two of my Amex cards if I activate POT on them.

I am a little confused by the language in the T&C which states...

1. Pay Over Time—Earn Membership Rewards® Points

... Only one offer per Card account is permitted, and points will be credited to your program account within 8–12 weeks after you activate Pay Over Time. Maximum 20,000 points per account.

Does "one offer per card account"  mean one offer per AMEX card or one offer per AMEX account?  If I activate both offers on both my cards can I receive 40,000 MR? Or does it mean that a maximum of 20,000 will be applied?

Sounds like the former to me. But I would go ahead and call Amex and ask to be sure.

Agreed...I would think if you take them up on 1 of your cards, the offer would not apply for the other card.

You can get the bonus on more than one card, however if you have two at one time I would suspect that one would disappear when you activate the first card.

Just in case anyone stumbles on this thread with the same situation/question.

I contacted AMEX CS by chat after logging in to my account and the agent confirmed that I will get the bonus on both cards if I do it by the link in the email(s). He indicated that it will credit within 2 weeks and if I don't see the 20,000+20,000=40,000 by then contact them again and they will sort it out. I took screenshots just in case there is some monkey business later.

I was snooping around my account and saw an offer to activate POT for 20k points on May 25th, I still haven't gotten the points yet.  I reached out to them twice and they have escalated it.  Luckily, I took screen shots before I activated and somewhere in between, they even sent me a letter to activate POT for 20k points.

Final data point. The 40,000 MR (20,000PLAT/20,000GOLD) were credted to my account the day after I turned on POT for both cards through the email link.

The CS Rep indicated I can turn it off again any time I like but maybe I will wait a couple of months just in case he had incorrect information or  there is a claw back clause I missed in the fine print.

I started seeing this a few months ago and checked my account.  It was on by default so I turned it off.  Now I'm hoping to get the same offer, lol.

I wish I would get this offer.  Mine just shows a "special 6.99%" offer for POT if activated.  I would not use POT but an extra 20,000 points on each card would be really nice LOL
