Just received in the mail a Pre-Approval for the Bread Financial Cash Back card on the AmEx network. Straight across the board 2% Cash Back. Now, I'm not going to accept it right now as it's good through October, 2022 and I'm about to hit 6 months in the Garden and not coming out any time soon. But has anyone gotten this card via this Pre-Approval letter and if so what were SL's like for you and yes I know every one is different. My personal DP's with Bread/Comenity are 3 store cards for 2.5 years now (Kay Jewellers, Academy Sports and Sportsman Warehouse and I use the two Sporting goods stores cards heavily) and FICO''s across the Board around 740 with 6% UTL today.
A quick search in the Approvals section will turn up multiple relevant threads over the last few months tied to responses to their preapproval offers. As a general comment Comenity tends to be conservative with starting limits on their bank cards as well, anyone who gets a SL of more than around $7-8K has done really well for themself.
I recently got the preapproval mailer as well. Applied and was instantly approved for $3.5k. My credit reports were all frozen which was actually not intentional, had totally forgetten they were on ice. I only found out after I got an email from EX that an attempted inquiry was blocked. So while I did end up getting approved without a HP, it was at the expense of a low limit and the highest APR. I feel like I woulda had a better outcome if they actually pulled my credit. Most approval I've seen here are north of $6k & above. I may cancel the card

You already took the new account hit though, since it'll report either way. I'd reconsider.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^
@pip3manYour going to close the card because you didnt get what you wanted because you forgot to thaw your reports? Not the banks fault.
@FireMedic1 I'm not sure where you came up with that because no where in my post did I imply it was the bank's fault. I made it very clear that I'm intending to close it due to the unfavorable terms. It has absolutely nothing to do with the bank itself, clearly it's my fault. Matter of fact I received the Truth in Lending disclosure letter yesterday and it lists my credit score as 0 and the reason as "no credit information reported at the consumer agency." So yeah I'll close the account and maybe reapply properly down the line.
@bigseegar , I received the preapproval letter early July and accepted: SL $10k , 23.74%.
My other comenity card is overstock opened 2016, CL $35.3k.
General DPs are in signature. At time of app-
EX-8: 810
NewAccts: 4/12, 9/24
Inquiries: 7/12, 17/24 (Unfortunately everyone and their brother seems to pull EX for me both personal and business.)
Utilization: <1%
