The Slate is good for the people who travels a lots ... according to the rep I spoke at branch.
The e-mail said they would be changing my cards to
Slate in May.. I don't know if that's good or bad. Right now mt cards feel
like sub prime. No clis or balance transfers.

Let us know when you receive it.
My former Wa-Mu Platinum MC is still good until 02/12. So I will not receive a new card may be until 01/12. About two more yrs from now. Don't know what kind of cc I will going to receive then. Will see ...
My WAMU visa converted to a Chase Platinum Visa last year (the plain old silver one). They wouldn't offer me a product change and recently raised my interest rate from 10% to 21% on the card. This changed it from my lowest APR to my highest. They wouldn't negotiate on the rate, so I ended up closing the card. I used to use it regularly and PIF each month, but with no rewards why bother. The higher interest rate was deff. a slap in the face after being a good customer.
Well my new Slate Visa card arrived today. My old Wamu card expires 5/10. I never received and email about the card arrival date, but I did get something in the mail at the time Chase took over the account that state a new card would come at the expiration date on the old card. It still remains sub-prime, 1k limit and 22.9 IR. No rewards, but does come with the blink feature; so I can just tap and go. I have not called to comfirm receipt of the card, as it remains on the chopping block. card looks like all my other Chase products, but I think I perfer the slate to the blue.

How about acct number? It should be the same right? Not even 1% on every purcashe you make?
Yes bunny, the account number is the same, and not even 1% on any purchases.
Slate !!
I found some information on Slate at
http://www.thetruthaboutcreditcards.com/chase-slate-credit-card/
It’s branded as a type of credit management card, using Chase’s Blueprint technology, which allows card holders to manage financing terms on their own.
http://www.wowcreditcards.com/reviews/chase-slate-credit-card.htm
Credit card review:
The Chase Slate Credit Card replaces the Chase Platinum Card and offers card holders a whole new way of managing their card activity with Blueprint technology.
The Chase Slate credit card is not a reward card but offers the opportunity for cardholders to avoid paying interest on specific everyday items.
Protected by free, patented fraud protection, the Slate card offers 24/7 monitoring of your account activity and zero liability on all unauthorized purchases.
Receive e-mail or phone alerts when suspicious activity occurs.
No Rewards ... this does not motivate card holder to use this card ... right? Just like my former Wa-Mu Platinum (Free PFICO was the reason I got this one).
I called Chase today and she said getting the Slate card was
considered an upgrade?????
I wonder why. It still does not have BTS or clis
