Soooo, after Chase dropped the hammer on me in November with AA and CLD, I called today to discuss the matter.

This is what I got via SP and some talking to:

CSP - original $15k to $4.8k to $10k

Freedom - original $6k to $2.2k to $6k

Slate - original $3k to $1.5k to $3.5k

What I did over the past 4-5 months since the CLD's:

-PIF'd the balances that I was carrying at the time ASAP

-continued to use the cards

-continued to PIF

-and continued to pay down my total revolving acct balances.  (she mentioned that she could see that my overall debt had been decreasing...a nice trend for them to see apparently.)

-She didn't say anything about the USuck acct at 82% utiliz.

Obviously I love CHASE again...never was really mad, just a bit salty that they did extend the courtesy by calling lst like BoA did during that time.

Very nice.. Congrats on the CLI

Re: CHASE- from AA and CLD to CLI !!!

Just a few sidenotes I have after thinking more in depth about my convo with the Chase analyst...

Chase looked at TU, my worst report...693 with a 3 yr old paid negative -small utility bill.  Score is 15-30 lower than EQ and EX.

The analyst never once mentioned my sub 700 score, the paid collection, my 2yr AAoA, or 10 inq's on TU (only 2 in 6 mos).

My experience is when you call in to discuss anything with a CCC, they want to talk about the negatives and why you dont deserve anything 'extra' from them.

She was more concerned about my spending pattern, PIF'ing before statements cut,  the month to month decrease in overall balance total and the few amount of accts carrying balances (6/19).

I was also asked if I had a 'plan' to pay my debt down/off and how long did I think it would take....That question seemed a bit odd.

IDK, point is, it's nice to see that they actually review and consider the big picture and not just the score.  It's different than the usual...."your score is too low, sorry".  'You don't use the current liimit enough, sorry.'  'Today's monday, sorry.'
