I want to apply for American Airlines credit card master card or Visa Signature? Which one to get? I know they have a $95 AF but it says you get $100 discount on a ticket once a year. So it's like basically a free credit card at the end. My question is mastercard world or visa signature? Which is the easiest to get ? I have applied for 2 citi cards and both of them were denied forst and had to call the executive office and they approved me after they re checked it. Just thpought I would throw that in there. What are my chances to get instant approved? I checked pre-approval and said they had no offers for me at this time.
I have 2 cards with CITI plus Citi Gold checking accounts. How many credit cards can you get with CITI is their a limit?

There are no limits as to how many cards you can have with Citi.
However, there is a 2 apps per 65 days, 1 app per 24h (or 48h just to be on the safe side) limit, regardless of approval of denial. If you have already reached the limit, wait it out. They WILL pull new inquiries if you apply now and its a 100% guaranteed denial. There is no way to overturn that decision; not even the EO can help with that.
As to visa or mastercard, it's up to you.
Both of them should have really similar, if not same, underwriting requirements.
How long ago did you get both Citi cards? It's best to pace it out just so you do not raise any red flags.
I got the cards a week a part. Back in August.
So assuming you got your 2nd card in late August, that means you have to wait until November at the earliest before you can apply.
I think you should wait till next year though. Let the accounts age for about 6-12 months. Going on a "spree" with the same lender within a short period of time can sometimes trigger FR.
I will take your advice!! I will wait till next year. Those 30k miles was tempting me though lol but I will wait! Thanks for your input! ![]()

+1
I would concur with enharu. For best results and to avoid being on their radar, just space your CC application until a later time.

That promotion has been running for sometime including for the AAdvanatge AMEX which I got approved for last year. Since the AA program is still alive and well, I would honestly doubt those attractive sign-up bonuses would be going away anytime soon. That is of course unless anything happens with the AA / US Airways merger.
not to tempt you or anything, but there's a 50k miles offer thats been floating around the internet for quite a while now as well.
So don't worry. Those miles aren't going anywhere anytime soon, I think.

And targetted offers of 60K as well (my wife got one) and so probably higher ones as well..
