Citi Double Cash updates as soon as it posts for me. It was a pc from another Citi card so there was no bonus offer. I only had one new card back out on the sign up bonus, American Express Blue Cash Everyday. Same story as your Double Cash. Once the spend was done Amex said no bonus. A chat rep said there was a bonus for the account prior to that.
FP3500 ... good information and a "heads up" on the oddities of paying bonuses! ![]()
Before I started pushing payments, my available credit with Citi would update immediately after submitting the payment. OP, sorry they didn't come through with the bonus. And if you ever run into the problem with payments being held with Citi...try pushing the payment from your bank. Doing so *should* eliminate the hold period.

I had a similar issue with the signup bonus. They said you have to apply through the correct link that had the bonus verbage to get the bonus on your account. After a few calls and hitting the bonus requirement in the first 2 weeks and good spend afterwards they gave me the bonus and a separate $10 bonus for the trouble. I keep posting warnings about the bonus issues trying to help others avoid the hassle. Sorry you missed em.Hopefully a few will see this one.
Payments though reflect on my available credit immediately, and I mean the second I initiate the payment through the app.
Sorry to hear about the trouble they gave ya, I was worried I'd end up closing my card within a month but held off and it's been smooth sailing since.
Good luck in your future company relations. There are better out there service wise.
It's just weird because what is considered the "correct" link? like it shows Citi's branding and the Double Cash card and it shows the bonus. Then I apply. Soooo? I didn't have the patience for that. In one day I called quite a few times because they "couldn't" hear me. Funny thing is the first person that helped me could hear me just fine but once I called back and explained my problem this started happening and they would hang up. Well being honest I have better relations with other banks. Amex, Discover, and US Bank. Not worried about stingy Citi. Haven't closed the Costco card I have because I have already accumulated 200 dollars in cash back but once I receive that next year they are going to get cut.

Have only had this same issue with two banks. Citi and Capital one. My mom had barely got the Quicksilver card which had the spend 500 for 100 back as well and they said no such offer existed. I just won't deal with liars.
