Not really, EQ04 only important if you apply for mortgage. For credit card lenders, irrelevant

Re: CITI'S FICO SCORE

My DC has this. Not sure if it counts as a FAKO or not, since it isn't what people would ordinarily think of as their FICO score.

A mortgage at the best rates overshadows any credit cards.

True, but most of us will apply for more credit cards than mortgage loans. I'm in my mid 50s and have only had three new mortgage loans.  I've refinanced for lower rates, but even counting those, I'd probably only get up to 6-7 mortgages.  I can safely tell you that I've applied a lot more frequently for credit card / revolving debt.

I just purchased a new home so it'll be quite a while before I apply for another mortgage loan, but I will be applying for the new Costco Exec card and who knows what else during the 30 year term of my mortgage.  Don't get me wrong, I'll pay off my mortgage in 20 years at the latest; but my best scenario for paying off the mortgage, 10 years, will still be a lot longer than the time frame before I'll apply for other revolving credit.

Original Mortgage maturity Sept 2044; Refi maturity Dec 2030
Starting Score: EX 751 EQ 720 TU 737 on 4/9/14
Current Score: EX 849 EQ 835 TU 843
Goal Score: 850

And why EQ?   Don't they usually pull all three and use the middle one.  That's been my experience

Re: CITI'S FICO SCORE

They denied me increases in March; citing January scores and negative factors. Meanwhile, the score on their own site is way up! The reasons for denial are no longer applicable!

Re: CITI'S FICO SCORE

As of today 4/8 my score is still the 2/24 pull- seriously, what good is 6 week old info?  Citi needs to get their act together
