CLI forms - hard or soft pull?

I was looking at the options online for my credit cards, and clicked on BoA's luv button out of curiosity. I'm wondering if this form would result in a hard or soft pull:

Credit Line Requested
$ Note: The amount entered will be rounded to the next $100.
*Occupation

*Salary
$ per
*Housing Payment
$ per Month
Homeowner
Renter
Other

Other Income
$ per

The form for Chase only asks for annual income and requested total CL. I always thought that CLI requests with them result in hard pulls. Even with that short form, do they do a hard?

What do you guys think? Also, when I called to activate my BoA card I asked for a CLI then and was denied, but was told that my account will be periodically automatically reviewed for CLI. If that's the case, does a self-initiated CLI request ever cause them to take someone off an automatic CLI list? And one last question: does anyone know what the CL ceiling is for BP gas cards?

Phew. That's a lot of questions...

Re: CLI forms - hard or soft pull?

This form is always a soft with BofA. If you leave the desired amount empty, they typically give 20%

That's one of the things I love most about BOA...Always a soft pull on CLIs.

Re: CLI forms - hard or soft pull?

I believe that it states specifically somewhere that all CLI requests will be a soft pull unless you are told otherwise by a credit analyst.
