CLI button does not mention HP. Luv button was always SP.

So you tried to use the CLI button but you dont give them permission to pull your credit?
Makes perfect sense.
while obviously once you are a cardholder any bank can take a hp anytime they want and don't need to ask you and while asking for more credit you should always assume it's a hp... I'm with op on this one... comenity has never been hp's for cli and the reps are clueless and id be OVER IT
Policies change all the time.
People shouldn't touch the love button unless willing to go all the way.

the lub button didn't result in the hp, an uninformed employee resulted in that... now op should have known better, it's been posted on here a couple times starting a couple months ago that calling in and speaking to those reps resulted in a hp when they have even said it woudln't before... but online and over the automated phone is still the same it's always been!
I recently had the opposite problem with them. I've been getting my ute down lately, so I tried the luv button on the website (8/14) and got denied. They didn't HP or SP, they used a pull they had from 5/6, over 3 months old, which I believe is when I applied for credit for my dentist's office.

The rep was never able to do anything due to the "issue with my credit report".
No rep was ever able to successfully do a CLI.

How many time have you read the love button didn't work, couldn't wait so I called customer service, and ended up with a hard pull story? This happens so much that it's really hard to blame customer service.
There's no substitute for time when it comes to fixing, building, or rebuilding credit.
Did some more calls.
VS (Comenity) won't do anything, they said to contact the creditor.
So I called EX.
They said they won't dispute INQ's unless they are fraudulent.
So now we move on...
1. Since the reps I spoke to were not able to do a CLI due to there being a "freeze" on my reports, I don't think anyone was able to do one.
2. None of the reps never said anything about a HP, or asked to pull my credit.

but do you really have a freeze on your reports? doesn't sound like it since a credit pull was done... it doesn't matter WHAT the reps said... they DONT KNOW what they are doing!
