I didnt think they would change it, Im sure a notation is nice, but I'd like it confirmed that it would be a 2k spending limit instead of the 3k.
I also had trouble swiping my card on the airplane to get the DirectTV package on the back of the headrest, I ended up using my Check Card.

But yeah, I agree that CSP being a metal shouldn't be the only reason one apps for it, but we have our own likes/dislikes.
Good thing with the CSP is the large bonus, so even a "bad" reason for applying is still OK.

People that fly economy to the land down under from the East coast of the U.S. deserve a medal or something. Wish they brought back the Concorde and had route to New Zeland and Auss....I promised my better half we will visit both places once in our lives.
Ah I remember flying on the concorde! That feels like ages ago though, and I definitely don't see those coming back anytime soon.
The trip can be VERY long and quite painful. After a couple of flights in economy several years ago, we swore never to do that again and won't fly anything less than business for international flights. We also usually stopover somewhere in Asia, so the trip isn't as bad given that it's broken up into smaller pieces with a significant layover (2-4 weeks). Have you thought about that as an option?
We'll be making the trip back to the US again next month, and I'm definitely not looking forward to it.
Also if you do make the trip eventually, I hope you're not coming for the 'roos. There's a reason we make them into dog food (among other things).
In the back of my head I hope one day super sonic airtraffic comes back and will become more reasonably priced and therefore become the "norm" I can dream lol. I think the program was great but it was too far ahead of its time.
The layover in Asia is a good idea we have even talked about stopping in Singapore or Thailand, just the way our schedules our now I don't see us having enough vacation time to spend a 2-3 weeks in Asia and another 2-3 weeks in Australian/New Zealand. And when we do have kids I have no idea how we would do this type of trip. Maybe retirement. Defiantly not coming for the kangaroo's that part of the world looks insanely beautiful. Heck Peter Jackson made it look like it wasn't even part of this world.
