I got in with the 50k UR for $3k spend last November.  Unfortunately now my AF is $125.

I have a Freedom as well so I'll likely park my remaining UR there if I don't need to top off an account.

If most of my spending went on it instead of meeting min spends, I'd prob keep it.

Wait what?

nevermind. I found a post on slickdeals about it. 125 for the AF thats crazy. So if you keep the card for 5 years or more you lose money vs the 95 AF people that makes no sense to me.

Keeping mine. Still love the United/Hyatt points, and now transferrable to Singapore Airlines! A keeper for me until UA/Hyatt and SQ really devalue's their points.

I will keep mine cause of chase freedom. If it was not for the freedom i would probably get rid of it. I think the card should be two points on everything not just dining and travel. Chase marriott is def worth the 85 bucks just for the free night.

+1 With the Chase Freedom.  I think I spend enough with the card to justify the AF but each person has to look at their own spending habits.  Plus with the UR mall those points become even more valuable.  I bought two pairs of shoes thru the UR got 4800+ points. on a $320 dollar purchase that I was needed to buy anyway.  I know others have their own portal but with the CSP transfer partners that sets them apart. IMO. Even though Amex has a lot more.

This was brought up recently but the nerfing of the card to me really isn't that big.  Even if I got 100k points a year and lost out on 7k.  My feeling is if I can afford that spend that then what is $70 on a cashback basis.  Really the card only cost $8 dollars a month if you look at it that way.

Like someone else said 2x on everything would make the card unbeatable (we can only dream).

I PC'd to just regular Sapphire -- I only ever used it for 2% on food -- may even close it later as I now have Cash + for 5% on fast food/restaurants 365days/year & that's better! lol

I think for me an lot of it has to do with how much you value your UR points. I have thought about this before I don't value 1 UR  point at say 1 %. I think its more like 1 UR points is close to value of 2 cents. It all depends on how you plan on using the UR points i guess is the point i am trying to make. If i am going to transfer for travel i will almost always look for something where i am getting an value of nearly two points. there are exception to the rule like if i wanted to travel cross country from JFK to either las vegas, los angeles, or san diego. I think you are pretty much stuck unless you plan on going business or higher i guess.

Well of course CSP is also 365 days a year, but I agree 2UR is probably less than 5% for many.  Cash Plus is capped though, and CSP isn't, so if you eat out a lot at expensive places, Cash Plus doesn't quite do it.
