CSP and Chase exposure

I've read on here a lot about how Chase has a "ceiling" for customers.  I currenlty have 3 Chase cards, but would love to add the CSP.  However, I'm afraid of AA being taken on my other Chase cards if I attempt to apply for this and am denied.  Is there any precedent for that?  I think my overall credit profile is otherwise okay, but I'm a little concerned about this one...

Re: CSP and Chase exposure

You may have reached your limit Chase is willing to extend you looking at your current CL's. Your income would definiltey play a factor into this. The issue is, the CSP is a $5k minimum. Since you have other Chase cards that are not as high as your SW Siggy, they may not be willing to extend you more credit resulting in a denial. You can always recon and move your CL's around, but there doesn't seem to be enough to even move and keep you SW where it is and your other accounts open.

Well HE woul obviously lose the Sign up bonus but if he has a $1500 Freedom , $1500 Disney and a $5k Southwest card the chances of him getting approved for a CSP is slim right now.  but if he wants a CSP that would be the easiest way

That's assuming he can PC the co-branded card to their CSP.  He might have to app and then if declined see if they will allow him to transfer the CL from the SW

CSP bonus is huge though.  Thats the main reason nearly anyone should apply for this card, even if they don't have good use for it otherwise.  Without the signup bonus (45k with AU) then I would not seriously consider PC as an option.  OP, if you try and don't get it, be sure to try recon.  If you want to wait for better chances, then try to get some of your current lines increased to around $5k first.

Amex ED $19.5k - BoA Travel Rewards $15k - CSP $5k - SDFCU EMV $15k - NFCU goRewards $20k - Barclays Arrival $6.5k

Re: CSP and Chase exposure

Thanks all.  I'm a little weary to try and increase the Freedom and Disney since they would result in hard pulls.  They've been stuck on the same limit since I got them (2 years ago for Freedom, 1 year ago for Disney).  SW is newer so maybe it's a good sign that I got that limit.  Still, probably better off skipping it then try and go for it with 3 hard pulls.  Thanks for the advice.

I wouldn't try for a CLI. If you app and are denied (which you might not be) I would move the Disney Card first.
