I had just received my new Chase United card and called to add an AU. I asked the rep if there was a minimum time I had to wait to apply for another card. She said I could apply then. I tried to apply over the phone with her but she said one could only apply online.
I applied online and got the 14-30 day message (or whatever it is). I called the recon line a coupld days later and the rep told me one usually should wait 6 months in between Chase apps. I told her what the previous rep told me and she said she would reconsider it.
She came back and asked me about my income. She also asked me what my monthly payment is on my Amex (BCP). I told her it varies, depending on the charges, but I pay it in full every month. She asked me why I wanted the CSP over the standard Chase Sapphire. She asked me if $10k would be sufficient (she sounded like a Discover rep) and I told her yes (not thinking, maybe I could have asked for more?).
Anyway, so that's 3 for 3 denials/recons/approvals with Chase with the last 2 being about 2 weeks from each other. I'm very excited and plan on getting the checking account tomorrow!
Bwahaha, Chase has their hooks firmly planted on your soul now!!!
I means, Congrats!!!

Congrats on an awesome card.
This Chase checking/Freedom/CSP combo thing is a pretty darn good deal.
