CSR approval odds with some old oopsies

I'm thinking of applying for the CSR

I have 725 fico, 4 years of avg credit hit.(oldest card is 5 years old), I do have a CO from another issuer from 6years ago, also a 90 day late from wells fargo also from 6 yrs ago, I know, I wasn't very responsible back then, but since then I have no negative marks. I'm in the Amex family with the gold card, and the BCE(12k limit), I have discover 10k limit, and some capital one card with 3 and 4 k limit, and a unsecured loan from my credit union.

I've tried the preapproval page with no luck, have never received an offer from chase in the mail.

Should I go for it? I'm at 0/24

Re: CSR approval odds with some old oopsies

For the CSR you need to swing by a branch if you want a pre-approval.

Also, while there they can show you all of the cards you're pre-approved for.

thank you, I'll swing by a chase branch. In case they don't show pre approval for it, does it mean low chances of approval?

Re: CSR approval odds with some old oopsies

If there's no pre-approval then I would hold off on applying.

There's always the option to proceed though if your'e confident in your ninja skills of reconsideration for an approval.  Nothing these days is 100% even with a pre-approval but, with Chase it's probably a 99% approval if they show one in branch.

Looking at your OP you have the min requirements of 10K+ CL over 1 year of history and you're 0/24.  Score might be a little on the low side though.  It will most likely be a double pull betwen 2 CR's as most apps pull EX+1.  To get a better sense maybe get all 3 of your scores over at creditchecktotal.com for $1 trial and maybe it will prove some more insight into what to expect.

In branch preapprovals require an existing Chase account, otherwise banker is doing same thing as OP, checking a prequal.

OP, do you have a Chase account of any kind?

Yes, I forgot to mention it.  My wife has had chase checking/savings for a long time,  we went to chase and they added me to her account and changed it to a joint account.

Re: CSR approval odds with some old oopsies

you're right, I'll hold off If I don't get a pre approval.

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know about creditchecktotal.com. I just pulled my 3 reports and it shows EXP 725, EQ 715 and TRA 723. All 3 show the late payment and CO. I'll test the waters at the branch, hope for a pre approval and pay they don't pull EQ if I apply.

Thank you!

YW!   Don't forget to cancel CCT though or it turns into $30/mo after 7 days.
