Called EX anout AMEX

Some of you know that EX has been slow reporting AMEX recently.  So I called them and talked to a real live person.  He said he had no idea, but that Amex had been slow in the past.

I think he was blowing smoke and has no (expletive deleted) idea what is going on
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Re: Called EX anout AMEX

EX is reporting BoA Amex pretty quickly - but that is probably different.... I just was approved last week, the balances haven't even transferred yet, but I check TrueCredit and it appeared for EX and EQ not TU yet.
05/12: approx 680 across the board
04/08 EQ: 730 TU: 748 EX: 718
03/08: EQ: 713 TU: ? EX: ?
12/07: EQ: 689 TU: 711 EX: 721

BoA Amex cards are reported by BoA.

The issue is with Amex reporting to EX, and it seems to be only the combination Amex/EX that's having issues.

Thanks for calling anyway, MV.  I wouldn't really expect the frontline CSRs at Amex or EX to know what's going on, either, though.

I'm giving until Feb 29 before I offically dispute my 79-day-old balance that's currently reporting.

I thought I would least try.  My problem is that I do not know to dispute a missing account.  I am not sure if it is possible.  But he did say wait 6 months and then call Amex  Smiley Very Happy

Re: Called EX anout AMEX

When they 1st reported last month they hit EQ ON 1-19-08 then EX on 1-21-08 & finally Trans on 1-24-08. This month they hit EQ on 1-14-08 but the other 2 hasn't updated yet. I'm getting tired of seeing that $654 balance. I havn't been using the card that much so once that balance goes down it's staying down.

Re: Called EX anout AMEX

Amex is the slowest reporter on earth. I wish they would update.  They're still showing an $800 balance on an account with $0 balance since December.

What confuses me is they reported to EQ and TU exactly on schedule.  A slow and frustrating schedule, I admit, but on schedule

Re: Called EX anout AMEX

What frustrates me is my Optima Oasis card reports as charge card with balance but to Credit Limit. That makes my fico scores take a dive. I have paid off the balance now hopefully it show as $0 and my fico scores should come back up again soon. Also once they report on EX it should help the average age of my accounts. Let us wait and see when they will start reporting it on EX.

Re: Called EX anout AMEX

Ex wont update my CR lately. I even got another statement today from paid credit card showing a $0 balance that was paid over a month ago and EX still wont update. But EQ has which is weird since they are so slow.

Also on the topic of AMEX, if you hit the Luv button more than once in a 6 month period its an auto decline. This was what a rep told me today.
