Can we upgrade Walmart Store Card to Walmart Discover?

I was told on the phone they don't upgrade if your interested in the card just apply for it.

someone posted on here they asked for cli and was declined, so asked for upgrade to discover and was given in.

I wonder how many months we have to wait to ask for the upgrade. I got my store card about 3 months ago with Cl $1600. I am not sure if it is worth leaving it as store card or upgrade to discover.

The CSR told me that I had to request CLIs every three months and use the card and I could be upgraded.  But, I've heard other people say they were told to reapply to get a Discover.
