I was wondering, if you dispute your CC balances after you "optimized" your util rate, would that work to show the "new PIF" balance or would they restate the old statement balance? or just say the old balance is correct? I know I am being impatient...but I just forked out about 3k and want to see the fruits of my labor...lol.

I just disputed TU. They have 3 accounts from over 4 months ago that haven't updated to show 0 balance. Coincedence or not, shortly after disputing with TU, one of the TL's disapeared from both EQ and EX. This worked out great for me, as the TL was my only negative account with a 30 day late. Scores skyrocketed on both EQ and EX and hopefully the TL will stay away...On TU it shows one 30 day late and that's my only negative, so I'm not afraid of the TL reporting anything else. Other than that, I can't see what's wrong with disputing balances if they haven't updated in several months.

I get your point and I'm sure it's valid. We'll see how my dispute goes and I'll keep you posted. From my view, 2 of the 3 accounts I disputed were/are completely positive, with the exception being they were/are reporting at 90% utilization. Based on my 2 other CRA reports, I expect a 50-70 point increase when they start reporting the correct 0 balances. (At least I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it SHOULD work that way.)I can be and was patient, but when TU didn't update for 3-4 months I drew the line in the sand!!

Yep, I'm re-disputing my stupid J.Crew account, once again for incorrect balance. EX refuses to act this second time. Turkeys. No, it's NOT the same dispute, despite what you might think.
