Re: Cap 1....Credit Steps???

Good going Jazzy!  I've only made one payment so far but decided to call and try.  They told me they didn't have anything to offer me right now.  I think I'll try and make 2 more charges and payments quick!  She did tell me that have sent a bunch of new offer letters out and that I should keep an eye open for them.

Re: Cap 1....Credit Steps???

Hi Ash4557,

Its kind of ironic how I got the 2 cards..I applied back in 12/07 from the offers they were mailing to my home. I was trying to get the one with the best 0% APR for a certain amount of time w/ no annual fee. So at first I called in my request and then the automatic line said I would hear something within 7-10 business. Then the next day I was a little impatient and used another pre-screened offer but this time applied on-line and was instantly approved.

So then about a few days later received 2 cards. I thought they made a mistake but when I called to confirm they said nope I have 2 cards w/ $500 limits. I asked if I could combined them but the guy said no. So I just decided to keep them both. The no annual fees and 0% intrest for a certain time period was what kept me reeled in..Smiley Happy

I know lots of folks have had bad experiences with them..but I'm trying to stay postive and make on time payments with them and hopefully either I will have maxed the credit line for my cards or they will upgrade me to a visa card...will see....Smiley Happy

No can do...I called the back door and told her my 3rd statement just closed. She said your account is still new and there is no cli available yet. As far as the steps, she said you have to wait for the 4th or 5th statement.

When your 3rd payment posts, their system will make the CLI available then.

Re: Cap 1....Credit Steps???

I have had my cap one card close to 4 months.. I had a cl of 500.. When I opened it .. I ran it up to 303.00 then I paid  50.00 a week on it ( thats right .. ) I got it down to about 30.00 then went to 200.00 and paid it down again to 30.00.. I have made 10 payments in 4 month.. Wow Am I over trying here..

But still got the bump to 1200  and got another offer thru email to get there cap one visa pre approved.. Doesn't mention CL though
