I just want Cap One to stop.. makes me nervous.... ALL OF IT.
Are you guys using the online prequal tool or something?
Also, Capital One has other divisions like home loan or car loan. May that is why it's showing up differently on your credit report? Maybe, now that you have a higher limit card with them and you're in their database, they're trying to figure out if you also need a mortgage.

wow haven't applied for discoer as I don't want nor need it, but that is alot of SP's before even applying lol. Never been softed by them and I tried their pre-qual site, which most know is a complete joke and dosen't actually SP you at all, most likely a file feed from the CRA that is provided... your case is different obviosuly
So, does anyone know if the credit report that they soft pull is the same used for hard pulls when applying? For instance, I know that Chase is reported to typically hard pull Experian when you apply. However, I have 15 soft pulls by Chase on my TU between 1/08/2015 and 02/06/2015. Does that mean if I apply for a Chase card, they will hard pull TU? Or do the banks use different bureaus for soft pulls versus hard pulls. Trying to strategize for some apps, but what I'm seeing on my soft pulls doesn't coincide with what I've read here on other posts or on the credit pulls database.

See that wad of soft pulls on my EX report from Discover? When I apped, they pulled EQ.

Thanks! That's good to know -- my EX score is much higher than my TU and the soft pulls on the TU by Chase had me worried as I plan to app for a Freedom soon.

Chase has been known to pull two, in pretty much any combination.

If you have an old report number from EX.. you can go through their dispute process online and look at your report. I just do not dispute anything and exit out.

Hope this helps!!!!
Thanks! That worked. It looks like Cap One has been soft pulling the hell out of me too!

That would concern me much more than OP's timeline, which appear to be once a month. Just to update the "Credit Tracker" they give you requires fairly regular SPs.
But those you have there... would scare me!
Cap1 prequal tool does soft pull now. I have 26 SPs since the 1st of the year...before that it was once a month or so.

I'd have to check the dates to be certain, but most of those may be from hitting the CLI button. I've been wearing it out.
