Cap One and reporting your limit?

I was just told that Cap One does NOT report your credit limit to the CRS's? Wouldn't this hose your credit because it looks like you are always max'ed? Cujo

This is no longer the case.  Cap1 started reporting limits as of Sep 2007.

Re: Cap One and reporting your limit?

What you can do if a creditor doesn't report you limit is this...

You would have to max out the card one month so that your balance would be reflected in the "high credit balance" portion of your report.  Then you would pay it off completely so that your current balance reflects a $0 balance.

When a creditor doesn't report a balance this is how util is figured up. This works well for a card that has a fairl low limit, but its more difficult with a higher limit card.
