Cap one prequalify site

Has anyone been approved for a cap one even though you didn't prequalify? I have had a secured card with them for 9 months but still don't prequalify and am wondering if I should pull the trigger and apply. Scores are in the mid 500's with transunion being the highest at 561.

Yes I have apped for a venture card when I was not pre qualified and recv a 15,000 limit. Definitely worked for me.

I cold apped for Venture and Venture one and was approved for $15k and $7.5k. Don't apply for those or the QS Visa signature. You might get a Platinum or QS1. Understand that there will be a credit pull on all three bureaus. I got a platinum right out of a CH7 BK. Good luck!

I cold app'd for my VentureOne cards back to back and was approved...$10k on one and $7.5k on the other. Never could get them to show on the prequalify...just decided to give it a go and it worked.

I cold app'd and was approved for a quicksilver with a $5k sl, my DW also cold app'd and was approved for a venture with a $5k sl.
