So I recieved a product upgrade offer through the cap one upgrade link to change my Quicksilver one to a VentureOne. However what I really want is a savor one. Because I dont really use my QS one anymore (got an FNBO card with 2% cashback on everything, so 1.5% doesnt do anything and no real reason to use it outside of an emergency purchase - keeping the CL open though as its my oldest card) but I could use a savor one for my hulu subscription (3% back). With that said, upgrading to the venture one would still eliminate the annual fee, so it would be worth it to do it if that's really my only option at the moment. So, my question is: would it be worth it to call CS and see if they'll do a savor one upgrade instead? Or just bite the bullet and go ahead and move up to the venture one?

highly unlikely that phone support will offer you anything different than is found at your upgrade link, but it's a quick phone call, might as well try.
Close the card or accept the PC, regardless. Don't pay the next year's AF when you don't have to.

It's doubtful they'll upgrade/PC from QuicksilverOne to SavorOne, but you can call. If anything, take the VentureOne upgrade especially if this helps you get rid of the AF.
Is your QS1 a V or MC?

Thanks for the advice guys. Looks like I'll just give them a quick call, but not expect much as they'll probably just go off their computer which will tell them the same thing Im seeing on the upgrade screen.
Seems like it's not very often that Cap 1 offers you a way out of an annual fee card. Take whatever you can get in a free card to get out of paying the fee. Just saying don't hold out for a SavorOne offer you think you might get later. Get out of the fee now. Worry about what else it could be turned in to later.
So the update is basically what was expected: Called, talked to a very attentive, US based agent (and not the staff you get when you first call the hotline - he was identified as an account specialist. And it was clear he was not reading from a script) who listened carefully but basically confirmed that his system would only show the same thing that appeared in the upgrade part of your online account and confirmed that the venture one was the only thing showing for him as a option for a product change. Went ahead and pulled the trigger to at least jettison the annual fee.

Sorry it didn't quite work out as you hoped, but at least you got rid of the AF!
Call in and try for it. If denied take whatever gets you a non AF card. Best wishes.
Congratulations on the upgrade!
I took the same PC from QS1 to V1 a few months ago to get rid of the AF. From what I've seen on other posts it's often only offer to leave QS1. QS1 to QS is really rare and QS1 to SavorOne is pretty much nonexisting (it's extremely rare to PC anything to SavorOne/Savor). Further down the line they may let you go from V1 to QS.
