@Anonymous wrote:Thanks everyone I think Cap one is changing for the good. Does anyone know the maximum that you can have with a Cap one Platinum Master card?
If it's the sub-prime version, the ceiling is 3000.
I'm happy for you, but like another poster has said, it's posts like this that make me hate Cap1 ever more than I already do, have had both my Crap1 cards over a year and a half now, my credit scores went from 610 at the time I apped to 800+ and they still won't show me any love.
I will be dumping them very very soon, just was hoping they would step up and offer me an upgrade or something, but don't look like that's going to happen.
Again, Congrats to all who have received CLI's from Cap1!!
Thank you, for your respond Mustanglvr2006. With high scores like the ones you have they might want you to apply for one of their better cards. I know you are hoping that they invite you to upgrade but just step out there and app for one. Good luck to you and once again that's for the info.
Congrats! Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. I've finished the step on my 2 Cap Ones and they won't give me a CLI yet. I'm only slightly hopeful at this point.

I agree with Mzvanessa -- you have to apply for one of their prime cards and dump your Platinum! (I am going to do the same in the spring).

The problem I have with Cap1 is that they pull ALL three CRA's, and to take three hards for one CC is just not worth it to me. I've read that if you are an existing cardholder with Cap1 they will only pull one report, but IIRC I've only read this once on this Forum so I'm not so sure I believe that.
However, Thanks for the reply and suggestion, I appreciate it.

You are welcome Mz, read my reply above and it will explain why I won't app for a Cap1 card.
Thank you for your reply.
I just got approved for my second Cap1 card and once again that hard pulled at three credit bureau's. Ugh. It will definitely be my last ever Cap1 card.

My case and point exactly!!
Congrats to you and I'm sorry for you at the same time.
