Cap1 - Earn a higher line/limit

A friend app'd for a Cap1, new credit, and the following appears on the account:

We recognize and reward you for managing your account responsibly. Make your first five minimum payments on time, and you will earn access to a higher credit line.

My question...has anyone ever app'd for a CLI outside this promo?

Yes. All of my starter cards it was around 4 months. They wont before the 3 month period. Then Credit Steps kicks in after 5 on time payments. Then check the upgrade link on the forum after 6 months to see if you have a Plat if they will upgrade you to the QS cash back. Good Luck.

Interestingly enough, we checked the upgrade link earlier and there was a QS upgrade and she accepted it....

Would u recommend waiting out the 5 months to cli or enter a manual request?

If your more than 3 full statements out. Smash that puppy before credit steps pops. Good Luck! Oh and congrats on the QS!
