Had Cap1 card in Apple Pay for a long time, but decided to give it a try today for the first time. Kept saying Touch ID is required for payment. and I did have my finger on the sensor. So, not sure what it is expecting. Has anyone had similar experience and what has been the workaround?
In contrast, AMEX and Chase work very smoothly. AMEX still spits out signature slip to be signed, but Chase doesn't require anything else for the transaction to go through - just the touch ID is sufficient. For ease and convenience, Chase wins among all that I've tried.
Go to Settings, Wallet & Apple Pay, then down at the bottom make sure there's a ddress there for shipping and your email and phone number. Then tap your Cap One card in that list, and make sure it has a billing address on the screen that comes up. You can do this too, by tapping your Cap One card in the Wallet app then hit the i in the bottom right corner, that's a short cut to that screen instead of going all the way to the Settings app. All of my cards had that problem originally and would make that horrible sound at checkouts.
Let me know if that works

hmmm...so missing billing address could be the issue? Let me add that and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the tip!
No problem at all. I didn't realize it myself I kept thinking my banks were blocking me. Once I fixed that, I know now when I update to new iPhones readd the card and check the address.

So, turns out not even billing address helped. (though that would be a nice security feature!) In the end, I just deleted and reinstalled the card. and it worked! Plus, I have the new circular design for the quicksilver card, than the old one.
