Re: Cap1 custom designed card

My first image card went through no problem (a black metal pattern). I've been rejected on 3 tries for the second card, and it's all fairly simple pattern stuff. Weird.

Re: Cap1 custom designed card

maybe they're slowing down due to the 10-15' chip due date.

maybe they're broke... they are giving out huge limits and cli's.

Re: Cap1 custom designed card

Can you send me the image for the black card? And that means you tried 3 times and had to wait 30 days between each try??? I tried to submit one, got rejected, and it says I have to wait 30 days!

Re: Cap1 custom designed card

I can't see capital one allowing us to change our image cards with chips in them every 30 days. Especially since these cards will be more expensive to make.

Here is an early draft of what I might go with...

I still have to do some things like 100% center the text, move the black bar up a few pixels to distance from the, "Valid Dates," text, & other small things like that... But then again I might just be wasting my time because CapitalOne might flat out deny it. Lol.

Did you ever get this approved? or has anyone else got any similar black card's approved.  if so can you upload the completed pics for these so we can replicate?

btw.. looks like they accepting backgrounds on chipped cards again.

thanks

Re: Cap1 custom designed card

The Hot Topic store card is pure black.  Looks really nice.

I only got it because I buy some collectables there, and I know the manager really well.  He had to meet his quota, so I agreed to apply.  I was disappointed in the $800 toy limit (and Comedy Bank refuses to CLI), but he was shocked, as this was the highest limit he had ever seen, by at least double. Just some FYI.

I just went to try to see if I could design my Cap1 QS, but I'm on a Mac, and you need Flash to run the programme.  I do have a design on my original Cap1, and they just sent me a new chipped card, and they kept the same personal design.  Now I just want to get on a PC and see if I can get the QS in all black.

I had to go look.  I remembered it being all black, but when I pulled it out, it does say Hot Topic Guest List in grey.  The rest of the card (including name and acct #) are in black, thought, so it looks exactly like this photo.

Re: Cap1 custom designed card

I just got a Bonton card and it looks awesome in black. Have they always been in black?

Also, will capital one accept a solid black color if we design it?

I dont think they have always been black but have been for some time. Then once you spend enough your rewards goes to elite, and the card turns silver.  You do realize that card can easily have a 20-30k credit limit right?  Just by calling in and asking for an increase on the automated system, and when it asks if you want a specific amount you say no, then it says congrats you are approved, then repeat until it either stops you or you get tired.  Had success in going from 1200 to 10k, then 10k to 20.4k on partners card.

So anyway, my experience with designing my own card was avg. The card came fast but it was very ugly and grainy.

Anyone have any experience with custom card designs and having visa signature or equivalent?  Do they leave a white box around that?
