Cap1 initial credit limits and BTs

We were planning a trip to Italy last year & needed a card that charged no foreign exchange fees. I app'd for a CapOne MasterCard online & was approved for $20K.

We're not rebuilders. We have a clean 35-year-old credit record. My FICO scores are right around the 800 mark, so I would say that Txjohn's description of the way that CapOne runs its business is accurate. 

In any case, I'm satisfied with the card.

I've been with them eight years.  Started with 300 cl and a/f and deposit.

Now at 5400 cash back rewards card.  However they just ratejacked me to 17.9.

They pull all 3 credit bureaus.

Just about all the seasoned cardholders are at the 17.9 rate including myself.
