Just a reminder that providing false information on an application is fraud.
So a question such as "Are you currently a student"? should be answered honestly and have the paperwork to prove it.
Cap1 loves HPing. I had apped for the quicksilver many months back but they just denied me because they could not verify income. When I called in to provide my income details, they needed another HP again. I left it there, coz not worth it tose another inq.

+1 -- to all of the people promoting this, why? Don't lie on an application.

That's true, the exact wording is "Are you a student?". However, think about it. If someone is applying for a student card, and there is a question on the app that says "Are you a student", wouldn't you think they're asking about currently? If she isn't a student right now, I wouldn't do it, it isn't worth it.
Besides, let's not forget about Cold's suggestion a few posts higher as well. SDFCU can give a secured card without three inquiries that reports to all bureaus. That sounds like a better deal regardless in my opinion.
