Capital 1 -- Combine Rewards Button is Back

I haven't been on here much for a while, so this may be already known, but I was looking at the miscellaneous cash rewards on various Cap 1 cards for myself and my partner and was trying to find a way to use some small reward balances (like $20) before combining cards and losing the points.

I looked at the screen with different options (after clicking on the balance of rewards icon) and I noticed at the bottom under "other" it once again says "Transfer Rewards."

I transferred my spouse's rewards balances and mine from various cards all onto my high limit Venture card.  We are going on vacation again in December.

This feature used to exist and was eliminated in 9/2015.

This is a HUGE help, especially when combining cards.  I had to forfeit some small balance points in order to combine some of my cards.

FYI, between myself and my SO, we have opened 8 Venture cards in the last two years and have earned $3200 in free cash.  There is no limit to how many you can open assuming you are otherwise approvable.

Also you can combine rewards balances between any two valid cards.  You input the last name of the cardholder and the card number and push the button.  So you can do this with friends or family members if you want.

8 venture cards in 2 years? Geez I'm all for making the most of a situation and earning rewards, but that just seems ridiculous. Is there any wonder banks set rules like 5/24 and limit new cards to one every six months.

That was two each per year for two years.  One every six months.

I do not feel like that was abusive in any way, shape or form.   They are big boys.

I'm not sure why you felt compelled to post the comment.

Because it's a public forum where anyone can comment.
