My platinum is only at 600, and I've had it for 2 1/2 years. I always pay it on time and in full. But now, I'm just gonna box it. Not worth it.
I am of the opinion that Capital One is not worth my effort. I gave up asking for CLIs a while back. Whether I leave a minimal balance on in for a few months or pay it off monthly, I always get the standard 'not enough spend (paraphrasing) and payments too low'. How can payments be too low if you pay it off as a general rule. I haven't used in in months and months other than to put $20 bucks or so on it and then pay it off. I anticipate I will be ending my non-productive relationship with Capital One in the next couple of months..
It is definitely a waste of my time.
Have you tried product changing it into a quicksilver. That's also the only thing that changed 2 days before they increased my limit.
I have a Quicksilver -- which is supposed to be the rewards one, with no annual fee, and 0% APR that I have till end of december. But that's only at $600, too. It's just lame.
I completely understand because even with the increase I'm still annoyed at them. I only use it for 1.5 cash back on my water and internet bill 🙄
As far as increases go I am currently spending heavy on my savor card putting literally everything on it hoping for a big increase soon am I wasting the effort and move my spend to my discover card? Or stay spending on it hoping

Thanks
Cap 1 isn't known for giving out any money.

Personally, I'd abandon that idea and move on to showing Discover some love.
You know you can simply go into the app and request an increase anytime, yes? My Venture started at $15k and my Savor at $20k in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Early in 2020, I just went into the app and requested a CLI on both and they went up $3k each (instantly, I might add) to $18k and $23k in. It's the most straightforward and responsive system I've used for this with any issuer, pretty much ever.
