My Venture X has had the confirm purchasing power option listed since I opened it in July. My understanding is that's related to it reporting as a flexible spending credit card when I check my reports via annualcreditreport . What's baffling me is that my QS now has the confirm purchasing power option listed (never did before) even though it's never reported as a flexible (FWIW my SavorOne doesn't have that option listed). It doesn't really matter since I don't come close to my limit on the VX and I don't use the QS heavily, but I'm a bit surprised to see it shown there since that card originally started as a QS1 and have assumed it's in a lower bucket than the S1.

Weird, where do you see that option? App or web site?

Under the "gear icon" click on the "I want to" and it will take you to a list.
my $600 quicksilver had that option and I could always go $100 over what my available credit was

@Zoostation1 you could dispute it on your credit report if it's supposed to be a flex spend card...
does it have the "signature" logo? that's how youll know for sure.
believe it or not, that "flexible spend card" thing does make a difference to creditors.. if you have say a 650 fico but you have cards with flexible spend noted and good limits in the 5k range, you are much more likely to get higher limits and the signature version of a card as opposed to have none and a 750 fico.
Here are some screen grabs from the App.
This is from my QS- this is absent from my Savor.
@youngandcreditwrthyJust realized now you replied a couple months back lol. The QS is a WEMC, and the VX is Visa Infinite (I think all VX are due to the 10k min SL - I barely got in the door with mine lol). Nonetheless I've never been in a situation where I'd actually use the confirm purchasing power feature.

@Zoostation1 infinite> siggy. should be reported as flex spend with the limit also. my old venture visa siggy (was a PC from plat when venture was 1.25 and no af and being rolled out) reported "flexible spending account" along with the 5k CL.
my other chase siggys reported similarly. Yeah, never had to use it thus the reason for never even considering the Amex charge cards.
On EQ and TU it reports as a flexible spending card way but not on EX.
