Capital One Credit Card Consolidation

I have two capital one credit cards PLatinum and Venture. I wanted to transfer the credit limit from Venture to PLatinum and close the Venture to avoid the annual fee.

But was told by the customer rep , thats not possible. And was asked to call later to check if they have such offers.

1.Question is did anyone have luck combining two capital one credit card limits and closing the other ?

2. If they dont waive the annual fee and I decide to cancel the Venture card would the AF (already charged) be refunded ?

Limits can't be combined, you can kick, scream, etc..  They won't make exceptions for anyone.  Regarding #2, someone else can answer

If canceled within 30 days of due date they have to refund if you close the card.

They won't consolidate limits....at all
