Capital One GM BuyPower Card

Received a mail-offer to apply for a GM card. I am currently gardening until Sept or October because I plan to apply for a Penfed credit card then. Can anyone confirm if Capital One pulls only Equifax for this? What is your highest credit limit with Capital One and highest for all of the cards you have? Thanks for responding.

Re: Capital One GM BuyPower Card

I have it. It's a WEMC however they do start with very low limits. Mine started at $700 )not just me but many on here reported having low limit) and it now sits at $1800 almost a year later. I guess it's a good card if you're buying a GM. If not, it's not worth it because you can only redeem towards the purchase of a car. I sock drawered mine once I realize it's useless to me. Closing it when it turns 1. I have no intention to buy a GM. Okay rant over lol....good luck!
TCL= $172,800
6-7-16: EQ 683 EX 713 TU 715
10-12-16 EQ 685 EX 706 TU 702 12-19-16 EQ 683 EX 704 TU 701 and CHILLING ON ICE...BRRRRR!
In the garden as of 6-7-16, I've been really really BADDDDD Smiley Sad Smiley Sad

And yes they pull EQ only. Also, the increases were auto and days apart. I don't even bother asking them for a CLI because I'm not keeping it. I think their CLI is a SP but I could be wrong.

Re: Capital One GM BuyPower Card

the luv button is always a hard pull.  only time they say they will do a soft pull is when you call in but they look your original report when they first gave you the card so its useless.  manual review for your current scores and report, they will do a hard pull.  not worth it.  I will be closing mine as well because ive added 3 new prime cards to my staple.

Just applied for it out of boredom. EQ pull. Gave me $10k. Other Bank card limits are 2x average.

Congrats. Suppose if you have burned bridges with 30 TU inquiries and have 13 EQ or something, like myself, GM buypower has its appeal.

Can also confirm they only pulled EQ. My highest credit limit with Cap One was 20k before applying, and that at the time was the highest card I had.

Don't forget tho that it's an AF-free WEMC, which gives you the WEMC-tier benefits with no AF -- that's why I am keeping mine anyway, lol  Smiley Happy
