Capital One Green Cash Card

DW just applied for the Green Cash Card for Average Credit last Monday night, instant approval for 2K. I find this interesting because the Green Cash card is replacing the No Hassle Rewards Card which is generally thought of as a rebuilder low limit $300-$750 card. Nothing was included about any "steps program" but she hasn't set it up online yet either. FWIW the docs said they pulled TU and showed a 622 FICO.

The card arrived today (5 days, is that a record for Capital One?) funny thing is that one of the disclosure documents included says Capital One No Hassle Rewards Program (Terms and Conditions) right on top of it - guess that confirms the Green replaces the NHRC.

Re: Capital One Green Cash Card

Congrats to you DW!  I was upgraded to this card last summer, back when  this card appeared on Cap 1's website.  I was not able to find out much infor about it.  Even now, some Cap 1 CSRs are in the dark about even the card's existence.  The rewards are nice on this card, but like the card it might be replacing, I think it has a $3000.00 CL limit.  I have gotten varying story on that last point, though.

Re: Capital One Green Cash Card

Well there are two of them, Average Credit and Excellent Credit. Capital One is not known for too many "upgrades" but I don't know perhaps after a year or two they'll bump the average to excellent and give higher CLs.

We don't really have a need for high credit limits, perfectly fine with $2-$3k cards, it's not like its the one and only card she has. It is her first Capital One card though.

I assume they did since the letter quoted a TU score and there was an EQ pull too.

I probably would bite on this card in the future if it was just 1 pull. Maybe Ill try what CA did and unfreeze just 1 report.

Why would you say that? We (DW and myself) apply for credit when we need it rather than fill our pockets with multi-colored plastic. As far as this app, its her first since last July when we got a used car loan. I couldn't care less if a credit check is a hard pull from all 3 since I/we might go a year or two with no pulls and then perhaps 1 or 2 in a 12 month period. IME if you play the game smart, credit pulls are a non-factor.
