If I contact the EO, would Cap 1 be willing to Product Change me from the Capital One secured card to a Journey? I have had them for 10 months or so now, haven't paid interest (always pay my bills in full every month), Never maxed it out or anything. I already have my bachelor's degree, and will be a graduate student starting next month. I'd like a decent card that isn't secured to build history with. Do you think this is even worth asking them for or is there someone better to ask, like another department? Thanks guys, was just wondering. It's no big deal if they don't do it or if they won't, I don't mind giving it more time.

Try sending a secure message or chat in the Cap One online account, if you haven't already.
See what they respond with. From the many messages on this forum, they are reluctant to PC but sometimes they do.
I suggest writing to EO (through mail or facebook) only when you have tried the traditional channel and it has not worked, while your history has been very good.
OP, why do you have a secured card? Do you have any baddies, or just lack of credit history? Do you know your Fico scores? Knowing a little more would help advise you...

Lack of history. No derogatory marks or anything. AAoA is 1.8 years because of student loans in good standing. Oldest account is almost 4 years. Secured cards were all I could get.

Cap One isn't known for unsecuring accounts, but it may be possible that they can add 1% rewards with 25% annual bonus (1.25% Journey rewards), or go Quicksilver and add 1.5% rewards. You never know until you try ![]()
Good luck!
Well I asked online and they said they couldn't help me.

Yeah I have too many inquiries. I'm letting those age, that is why I wanted a product change, since I've been with them for almost a year. Who on facebook or the Executive Office can I contact? At 7 months the executive office wouldn't help me other than to waive my annual fee.
