Capital One Platinum Upgrade to Venture One

I'm being offered to upgrade my Capital One MC to a Venture One...APR stays the same, CL stays the same, no new card holder bonus, etc....SO what is the benefit to doing this upgrade?

You'd be earning rewards that you aren't earning now.

A PC to a Quicksilver would give you a higher and more flexible general spending reward. But if you book through hotels.com, the VentureOne is offering 10x miles per dollar through January 31, 2020.

The upgrade options are for both....either a Quicksilver or a Venture One. I already have a Quicksilver though.

Out of curiosity, how did the offer show up? Did a link show up next to the CLI button? Call customer service?

I found a link here on the forums about a year ago that got me an upgrade from my Platinum to a QS, but otherwise, I've never seen any offer directly from CapOne.
