Hey! So I've had a Capital One card for about 5 years now. I went from the Platinum card to the QS1 ($950 limit now) Which is all fine and dandy...but I was wondering, has anyone ever had any experience in having their product changed from Platinum or QS1 to Venture or Quicksilver? What'd you have to do to get them to do it? Thanks in advance!
From what I have been reading I don't believe you can change from QS1 to just regular Quicksilver or Venture due to the QS1 being an MC and the Quicksilver and Venture being Visa. I think you would have to apply for those cards as new.
It is quite common to see PC from Platinum/QS1 to QS. However, I do not think it is as common to PC into a Venture. All you need to do is jump on chat and ask if there are any offers to convert your Platinum/QS1 to a QS. Either there is an offer, or there is not. Good luck!
Just did that, there was not, but I did manage to get them to waive the annual fee which was nice. I'll try again in another few months. Now to get them to increase that CL..........LOL.
you can check on chat, spacecowboy, for just about anything, almost anytime for offers. once you do PC, it's the same wait as CLI for another. I recently got them to drop my APR by 4% for the next 7 months. when that time is up I'll jump on again to see if they have another offer.
they can be really easy to work with
That's what I'm noticing. Now that my usage has been significantly more reponsible in the last 3-4 months, they've been a bit easier to communicate with...
My Venture 1 is a MC, maybe you can PC from a QS1 to V1
I just swapped mine from a Platinum (old version with an AF) to a VentureOne. No need for for the card, really, and just wanted to get rid of the AF.

if that's the case, accidentalpancake, you may want to see if they will PC to regular QS. still no AF and gets better return at 1.5% instead of the 1.25% for the VentureOne
