Full disclosure, I posted a similar thread several months ago, however some circumstances have changed and I'm looking for new advice on it.
I have a Capital One Venture card that I had since last August. The $95 AF was waived for the first year, thus I have not paid any AF on the card yet, however I do have over 60,000 points from the SUB and some spend. I know the genreal consensus is that the card is not worth the AF for reasons other than the SUB.
For the past several months there has been an upgrade offer for the VentureOne, which is also not all that great of a card. However today I checked and it's also offering an upgrade to Quicksilver. I guess the two question I have are as follows:
Regardless of if the card is a Venture, VentureOne, or Quicksilver, quite honestly this isn't a card I'm planning on having major spend on going forward as I'm generally tied to my MR and TYP earning cards.
I PCed from Savor to QS via the link at 11.5 months. AF was waived the first year. Second year's AF never hit. I kept the SUB.
I closed the account yesterday, 4 months after the PC. I have a BBP and a 2.625% Premium Rewards card, so Cap1 is kind of useless for me after the SUB.
