Do you know if you can change that image back to the default/original card image? Customer service had no idea what I was talking about when I asked.

Good question.  I would find that acceptable.  I believe I also asked customer service about that a year ago and they were pretty clueless.  My guess is that it's not possible unless you change your actual card back to the original Quicksilver card (assuming that's possible).  I also wrote in a suggestion to them recommending that they add some flexibility regarding the card image that is displayed online.

Yeah, I mean it's not a big deal. I didn't go out of my way to speak with customer service or anything, but seeing a stock image on the website and a generic Capital One card on Apple Pay isn't pleasing to the eye, you know?

Re: Capital One QS now with EMV. Embossed numbers?

Interesting..

Mine has always been embossed numbers since I got the card in 2012, but I do have a custom image on mine (maybe that's the difference?)

My current card expires this August, I guess it will be replaced with a new chip card automatically? And now from what I've read, no more custom image?

Regarding the image cards, from here.

  1. Can I get this on my image card?

Not just yet, and if you've recently received an email that your request was declined, we may be in the process of upgrading your card to chip. Image card will be available to you in the near future.

@jnt1231: Yes, you have embossed numbers because you have a custom image card.  I have one as well, but the image is actually one of the Capital One stock replacement images.

Regarding the new chip card and your custom image: See above from barthooper.

Re: Capital One QS now with EMV. Embossed numbers?

I just called and talked to them about this.  Asked them to change my Custome Image card back to the original design.

The Rep said that was no issue, but could not guarantee I'd get a chip card or one with the raised numbers. But he could tell me that I would have one the end of 2015, all customers would.

He said as far as now, I may get one, I may not. he had no way of knowing what theyd send.

I just hope it has the raised numbers. Will know in a few days.

From what I gather, the custome image cards will go to this as well. But regualr cards come first by years end. may take longer on the custom ones.

I just got mine today.  It is definitely raised numbering.  Looks a LOT better.

That's good to know that we can have our image cards back! There's this really popular beach photo that I happen to see on all the capital one cards I swipe at work. Tried to put it on my mastercard and wouldn't let me cause they are upgrading me to the chip.
