Capital One Savor1 for "good" credit...

I am on my upward climb, and Credit Karma is showing me cards like Indigo & Credit One.

Then, Capital One approved me for the Savor1, but it turned out to be the 'good credit' version, with no sign-on bonus.

I called them to request a change to the card with the sign-on bonus, but they stubbornly refused.

How should I proceed?  Cancel it and wait to apply for the one with the bonus?  Do a product change to a Quicksilver? That's a card I won't even want in my set-up long term. If I product change into a Savor1 for Excellent credit or a VentureX, the two cards I actually want from them, I forfeit the sign-on bonus by product changing in.

it is extremely unlikely that Capital One will give a dirty, rebuilding profile a sign-on bonus.

if you want a bonus, look elsewhere.

in the future, use this link to do the pre-approval to see what Cap1 thinks of you and they will show you if they are willing to give you a sign-on bonus or not, if you see "for good credit" they aren't willing to give you a bonus.

https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/preapprove/u/?landingPage=savor

the card itself is great, use it and enjoy it, it's the exact same card as the one with the SUB assuming you pay your bill in full every month.

for the VX, use this pre-approval link in the future and read the denial reasons to why they aren't willing to approve you for VX
