Good question!
I get those every month like clockwork. Hopefully someone knows what it means.

It can't be a collections issue. First of all, Equifax reports the pull as 'promotional." Secondly, I have never had a CapOne account.
It also isn't the CapOne auto finance people because their promotional pulls are "PRM-CAPITAL ONE AUTO FINANCE"

Yes, I have a 9 year old Cap One card. No, the account isn't a collection account. My credit is pristine. I searched google without finding anything. I doubt calling customer service will get me an answer.
I guess Capital One invented some type of unknown acronym. Maybe it means a long overdue CLI is nearing. Wishful thinking.
Just a wild guess here...
Could it possibly be related to a pre-app on the lender's website, to see which cards might be approved later with a hard pull? I'm thinking that the "RT" portion of that code may mean "Real Time", which could make sense. And it would be a promotional inquiry, just customer-initiated.
DI, did you do anything on Cap One's website earlier this month, such as check on other cards they might offer to you?
I have one as well Capital One Bank RTPM - On my TU credit report it states -(went in through the back door today, yes!)
"Promotional Inquiry" - companies recieved name, address and other limited information about you so they could make a firm offer of credit or insurance. They did not recieve your full credit report. These inquiries are not seen by anyone but you and do not affect your credit score.
I'm opted out now so that happened prior to opting out...

Yes, I checked to see if I had any pre-approvals. I do that every month and never saw the RTPM. I was thinking RT means real time too.

Thanks, I opted out from promos years ago. I haven't received any offers in the mail.
