Hello Everyone,
Just a heads up, while checking my employement data with the Work Number, I noticed that Capital One requested my file to verify employment. Also, in the past I see that there was also a law firm checking my file for a creditor.
If you have nothing to do and are curious, check the Work Number to see who has accessed your file!

Thanks for the link IF! Checked it out and it appears Cap1 looked me up too.
This is very interesting, especially considering Capital One doesn't even ask for your employer (only your income) when you apply for one of their cards!
Also, years ago when I got a mortgage my processor couldn't view anything on 'TheWorkNumber' until I provided her with a PIN... apparently this is no longer always required.
Edit: typo

Think it has to do with paying for reports. Just a guess, as I did not read the entire site. I am not currently employed, nor do I employ. Wonder how sole proprietor works with that.
I thought you would need permissible purpose / authorization to view a consumer report. I know that most credit card companies mention something about you agree to allow us to verify employment, credit, etc. but creditors should not have access. I am going to look into this because I do feel to some extent that my privacy has been compromised with a creditor using the service without a "pin" or authorization.
