I am familiar with the servicemembers civil relief act and interest rate reductions while on active duty, my wife has used it with a car loan but never a credit card. So I told her that I read that Capital One has retroactively reduced interest for the period of time you were on active duty while a cardholder, even though you are no longer on active duty. Well of course she was skeptical but I told her I read it on MyFico so of course it must be true. Sure enough Capital One said send your past orders and we will take a look.
Long story short they retroactively reduced her interest for the period of active duty service and refunded almost $1,000 in interest adjustments. The odd thing is they gave me a credit of $200 even though we have no Capital One cards together, That's a head scratcher, but whatever, i'm not complaining. Anyhow I know Cap One has it fans and haters but they really are easy to deal with,Thanks MyFico community for the valuable info.
Thats awesome!!! Tell your wife congrats on the rate reduction, and, (if you are past or current service member yourself), thank you for service!!!! I come from a military background, not myself, but a parent
