Capital One doubled my credit limit without requesting

Credit limit went up one week after two scores jump up. Coincidence? Limit not high to begin with, but encouraging.

what cl did you start out with? which type of card do you have?

My DW received anote from them after She opened a new card with them that said if she made 3 payments on time they would increase her  limit, she had just received from them with a limit of $1,000.

good job on the increase to 500! you have been a cardholder for a while im guessing.....it sucks that customers like us go for a very long time with no increase and new accounts such as the post above receive increases because of "credit steps" program.....oh well

   I don't think this is anything special they did just for you.  It's a promo they have on most of their subprime cards at least.  Mine is the same.  If I make my payments on time for the first 3 months and don't go over the limit, I get an automatic CLI the third month.   After a few more months, I will try the back door number and see if they can do any better.   Utilization hurts you on these low limit cards.
