Capital One increase

Does Capital One still do the first credit increase after 3 months on top of still giving the credit steps increase after 5? If so, is it after a full 90 days or after 3 statements? When I apply the reason I get is “we were unable to obtain your most recent monthly payment data from the credit agency” and I’m not sure what that means

Re: Capital One increase

Capital One hasn’t been allowing double dipping the steps increase lately. If you apply early, the money you get will be taken out of the scheduled increase so it’s not really worth it for $100.

As for the message, are your credit reports locked or frozen? Many creditors these days require you to remove these from your reports when requesting credit limit increases.

Re: Capital One increase

My Equifax was frozen but i unlocked it. That’s interesting that they’ve changed it, i remember the first time getting a credit steps card and they raised me from $300 to $1300 instead of $500 cuz of my usage. I’ve put $3000 through this card so far
