Capital one Quicksilver turned Plat

Hey all,

My card is a Quicksilver one from when I opened it but when I logged in today my rewards are no where to be found and the card shows it is a platinum card. I am so confused. I logged into my wife’s account and it happen to her as well.

This happen to anyone else?

I think it is a technical problem with them, same thing is happening to my Quicksilver right now!

Re: Capital one Quicksilver turned Plat

I applied for the quicksilver one card a few days ago and was approved instantly. I'm having the same issue right now only I don't have the actual card yet. It was showing up as quicksilver one on the dashboard yesterday and today it's platinum but with the last 4 digits of the quicksilver I hope I'll be getting soon.

Mine always shows as a Platinum MasterCard but the $.14 I have in cash back is still there. It does say that account details were updated February 7th on the app and February 6th on the website but i can’t find any changes.

Re: Capital one Quicksilver turned Plat

It just looks like they're doing some sort of live maintenance and not taking stuff offline while doing it.  This happened a few months back when I noticed that I could PC my QS to a V1.  Few hours later I logged in and it was showing my QS as a V1.  Got all worried that it some how PCed me, even though I didn't submit it.  Was like that for a few hours and then it reverted back.  Did it a few times since then too.

This ^^^.

In the early AM hours on the weekend it's common for Capital One cards to show up oddly in the app.

Give it a few hours and things should return to normal. Smiley Wink

Re: Capital one Quicksilver turned Plat

Platinum is the name of the Visa or MasterCard product. Your card's status as a Quicksilver is fine.

Also, if you would have looked closely last night, you might have also noticed that the information available was through Feb. 6. Both of these occurances are routine during system maintenance.

When Capital One schedules system maintenance, it's usually late Saturday evening and early Sunday morning. If you see goofiness and can't get the information you're looking for, simply check back when you're having your Sunday morning coffee.

A couple of weeks ago my dh qs1 went to Platinum...I read somewhere on this forum that if you change your card image that that can cause that as well....which we had just done that btw.

Yeah, changing to a image or color has been known to kick in the Visa or Mastercard branding when viewing your account. One of my Quicksilvers is a custom color, and it displays as World Mastercard.

During the system maintenance, my cards displayed as Visa Signature, World Mastercard, and Platinum Mastercard.
