For those of us following this string that don't have Quicksilver cards, could someone please tell us what the Quicksilver was BEFORE the "upgrade"?
From what I've read, the Quicksilver could be issued as a Visa or MasterCard. Presumably it could have also been issued at Visa and MC's various levels, ie. standard, Signature, World, or World Elite.
Are people who had Quicksilver Visa standards or Signatures being converted to World Elite MC's? Or are lower MC's only being converted to World Elite? I wonder if Visas are staying Visa?
Could someone please comment on what their card was BEFORE the "upgrade" so the string makes more sense? TIA

I got this same email for two of my cards- one QS and one QS1. Was wondering why and what happened- the qs /qs1 are still the same card but with a "status" of extended protection?
my QS was a platinum before upgrade. QS1 started off like that.

Visa Platinum I assume?

1. It doesn't cost me any money.
2. It enhances the range of benefits offered by using the card.
3. There are A LOT of cards out there with many fewer benefits.
i know many on here have much better cards. For me, this is good.
I'm not complaining. Thank you, Capital One.
To answer the poster above, my Quicksilver was a platinum before this "upgrade." So my $1500 bucketed card is still unusable. The upgraded benefits are nice, but I doubt I will use them.
I also just got this email, because I'm special and unique (just like everyone else).
I AM about ready to request an increase though - my limit is absurdly low, considering my score and income (on all my cards, really, but this is the lowest).
I just received the same email. No cli or anything different. I've had the quicksilver card 7 years with only 1 $100 increase.
Well....I have two. Original was a $300 secured, and 2nd was a $500 unsecured. Both platinum mastercards that upgraded to a zero AF Quicksilver a few years ago where neither has had a CLI. I barely use them except they are one of my oldest TLs I have sockdrawered in the hopes that whatever deep and endless bucket they have fallen into, they may emerge from someday. It is amusing to me to see it go from the lowest to the highest tier. Little ego boost for about two seconds and then a meh...WEMC for $300/$500 limit....cooooool. The benefits are good, if the credit line matched.
What I am curious about is whether my $550 Walmart World MC is about to become a WEMC as well?
Hope the DPs help.

I've also gotten my "upgrade." Pretty comical when my CL on this card is $750. For contrast, the CL on my Amex and Navy Federal cards are 20x greater, each. And the Navy card has a much more reasonable APR.
For the record, I went from a Quicksilver to a...Quicksilver. Same APR as well. Yawn.
